After years of writing quilt pattern identification books, the
creative itch of Judy Rehmel was enough to start a whole
new career in creating wall hangings using traditional
original quilt patters. Her creations span a wide variety of
styles to match any decor. All the pieces have rings for
hanging but most can also be used as table covers or
accent pieces in various decorative ways. Pieces range in
size from 13"x13" to 48"x48", or more. On an average ,
three hundred pieces are on display at the Brown County
Craft Gallery all year round. Traditional quilt designs
used for the wall hangings include the Texas Star,
Mariner's Compass, Double Iris Chain, Bears Paw Double
Aster, Alice's Favorite, Pine Tree and many more. Judy is
known for her original designs of Angels, Santa Claus,
Nativity Scenes, Schoolhouses, Light-
houses, and more. A series of nature designs include
apples, cardinals, birdhouses, Mallard ducks and various
leaf designs. Christmas designs are among the most
popular and are available all year long at the Brown
County Craft Gallery.
Judy studied Art & Design at Purdue University with
