June was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana and still enjoys the community
with her husband, two children and their dog chase. Being an office manager of
a very busy medical office and a volunteer board member of a local credit union,
she finds the "playing" in clay relieves multiple levels of stress and basically a
source of survival in a life of constant changes.
June has a small pottery workshop in her home and retreats there for hours at a
time. Along with a TV, since she is an avid NASCAR fan, and the pottery wheel,
she enjoys the solitude the clay work creates. She has been known to lose track
of time and end up playing in the clay all night.
Working with clay always helps her clear her mind and concentrate on the task at
hand. She never knows exactly what she is going to end up with and the endless
items that can be made, continues to amaze her.
June enjoys making functional items that can be used everyday by you or given
as gifts. She has started developing her own glazes and glaze color
combinations.
