Jewelry
Marty has been making jewelry for five years.  She loves to browse in bead stores, antique shops and at bead
shows for beads of many colors, shapes and textures.  She uses many types of glass beads including Czech
glass, Swarovski crystals, furnace glass and lampworked glass.  Her jewelry also features semi-precious stones
such as amethyst, rose quartz, aventurine, hematite, agate and other beads such as ceramic, wood, cinnabar,
mother-of-pearl, sterling silver and her own hand-made papier-mache beads.
Marty was an elementary school teacher for several years, mostly teaching in American schools overseas.  She,
along with her husband and son, have explored the deserts of the Middle East in their 4-wheel drive vehicle and
cruised in their boat on many of the rivers of the Eastern United States.  Marty and her family live and enjoy the
simple pleasures that Centerville, Indiana brings.

Lampwork Glass Necklace

The centerpiece of this beautiful 18" necklace is a lampwork glass flower bead handmade by Kay Bolin. Marty made the papier mache beads, and amethyst and Swarovski crystal beads add their sparkle. Sterling silver clasp.
