Cheryl Hornsby is a native of Richmond, IN having grown
up on a farm south of town. She still lives in the country in
that same house she grew up in, making her roots deep
and her appreciation of nature vivid. She recalls attending
St. Johns Luthern church as a child and looking up at the
many beautiful stained glass windows there. They are still
magnificent from an adult's viewpoint. Perhaps they
inspired her to love stained glass and take it up as an art
medium. She made her first stained glass piece, a sun
catcher of an angel, in 2001. Three classes and a few
years later, Cheryl continues working on glass in her
workshop at her farm, where she lives with her husband,
Ron. Her stained glass is of both copper foil and lead
came assembly. Many of Cheryl's designs are originals.
She enjoys touching other's lives with her stained glass
and is happy to have it displayed for sale at Archway
Artisans.
